FLORA WAITING TO BLOSSOM

Flora, the Goddess of spring, is depicted waiting for the fall of winter in order to celebrate her blooming. Flora Waiting to Blossom is a metaphorical work that draws a connection between the mythological era and the COVID times during which it was created. Marina holds an olive branch as a symbol of hope and victory over that period of confinement, winter, and darkness.

Winner of the first prize in the prestigious "Isolation Mastered" competition, organized by the JD Malat Gallery in London - Mayfair.

Flora was acquired by a member of the Royal House of Bahrain and is currently part of the collection at the RAK Art Museum Foundation, among Marina’s other works.
